I bought a ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 audio card, and I installed it into the first PCI slot. I turned on my computer, and tried to install the drivers that came with it, but it kept saying that I needed to restart my computer and put the sound card in. I moved it to the second PCI slot, and it still doesn't pick up the sound card in device manager, nor does the driver succeed at installing. The motherboard is an ASROCK 970 Pro 3 R2.0 if that makes any difference.

goto the bios/UEFI setting and make sure it either auto or disable for the on-board audio, sometime they don't play nice together.
