Has anyone owned or experienced either of these two cases? I'm torn in half. :S

Danger Den Torture Rack
Bob Slay V2 from MountainMods

Torture Rack
- Definitely has the air cooling advantage what with 8x120mm, but is this just overkill honestly?

Bob Slay V2
- Seems comparable. 5x120mm fans seems good enough, no?
- 5.75" clearance for heat sink (can't seem to find the clearance on the DD)
- UV reactive blue is an unnecessary but oh so enticing plus. Purdyness factor +1.
- 1/4" acrylic, seems sturdy enough. Can't find specs of acrylic thickness for the DD.

Any experience/opinions? Much appreciated.

if you're looking for a proper case, the Bob Slay. DD's Torture Rack is actually more a test bench than a case. the Bob Slay, at least to me, looks like a test bench as well, but the fact that it's an enclosure makes it doable as a case.

Thanks for the reply! The Torture Rack can be ordered with enclosing panels as well, making it all the more similar. I know these aren't the ideal "cases" but I'm stubbornly set on the acrylic just because, as stupid as it is, they look amazing! With enough fans and a little maintenance cleaning (which I have no problem doing) it seems like they would cool well enough to function as permanent case. Or are there other issues besides cooling I am ignorant of?

well, if the Torture Rack comes with an enclosing panel, it's advantage over the Bob Slay is that it has, from what i can see from the pic, holes for screwing down your storage, though i don't see nothing that'll help prevent the PSU from moving.

likewise, the Bob Slay lacks any sort of screw holes for storage from what i can see, but seems to have a proper place to put the PSU. that rectangular opening opposite the PSU is a concern though when it comes to dust (i reckon it's an opening for an all-in-one closed water loop cooler?).

provided you fit every opening with a fan, i figure cooling shouldn't be an issue. the possible dust problem however, is something i'm not at all comfortable with, especially with the Bob Slay.

It seems the PSU is secured from the bottom. Think I'm going to go with the Torture Rack and fan the hell out of it. Thanks very much for your input, this shit is overwhelming, haven't built anything in almost a decade.
