keyboard not working until windows boots

My computer is stuck loading startup repair since I cannot use my keyboard. I've tried using every USB port but that does nothing.I'm using an MSI 970a mobo and a RAZR lycosa keyboard.

you will need a different keyboard one with a ps/2 connector (the old little round connector type) not usb until you change bios settings and no you cant change In windows

could be that the bios setting needs to have usb legacy support enabled .. try resetting the bios or using a ps/2 keyboard .. make sure you have pc disconnected from electric supply before resetting the bios jumper on the motherboard or you may risk damaging the motherboard.
