I got this system for christmas i LOVE building and getting new parts and i love my computer. but ive been thinking that it would be awesome to sell this computer, get more money than it cost and order better parts and rebuild the better one. My computer specs are:
AMD Athlon x4 750K
AMD sapphire 7870 ghz edition
corsair cx500w
gigabyte f2a55m-hd2
Toshia 7200 rpm 500gb
and 4 gbs of 1600mhz AMD entertainment series ram.
I would be selling this through ebay if i choice to sell it. depends on how much it would sell for.

Edit: Grammatically speaking, the thread title should be "sell" not "sale".

I personally think that it would cost less for you to upgrade instead of buying a new system. Try to identify what components you can keep and the ones you need to change and just sell the components you don't plan to use.

People tend to replace their old stuff instead of upgrading. You should try ; you will save a lot of money !

Looking at your system, I think you should only change your CPU and motherboard. Plus, add 4 GB of RAM and you're good. If you still have enough money, you could also invest in a SSD to put your OS and keep the 500 GB HDD to other things such as games and programs.

The 500W PSU is OK and the GPU is great. I don't know your case but I'm assuming that he is OK too.

Sorry i didnt reply sooner. my case is a NZXT source 210 elite with 1 front intake a top exhaust and a rear exhaust. yeah i figured as much. i was gonna upgrade my cpu and mobo soon. 4 GB ram will be going in it in a week and idk when ill have enough for a new cpu and mobo. i was thinking a decent 100$ mobo with an 8350, or should i get an i5 4670k instead?

It all depends on what you run with your computer. An FX-8350 CPU would be OK for gaming but it's always better to have an Intel CPU for this purpose. If you don't plan on overlocking in the future, don't take the K version and save yourself 50$.

There are cheaper options for the motherboards, but these are my recommandations. Feel free to ask questions.

Have fun building !

Alright awesome. I game alot on mine and web browse and youtube and thats basically it so ill be picking up the i5. I might as well get the K version just for in the future i can overclock a little with a cpu cooler just to get the little bit more performance. I also really like gigabyte boards so thanks for the recommendations. have a good day!
