Sorry for the weird tittle c: I could not think of anything else to write.

So, I have ordered the Cooler Master GeminII M4 for my FX-8350.
If you look at this picture;

You see the screws I highlighted, can I remove them to mount my new CPU Cooler that does not use that latching mechanism? It requires a seperate Backplate/Mounting system.

Solution
Yep you can remove them easily. You remove the screws and then the backplate, and replace it with the ones included with your new cooler.

i think the plate and back plate will come with the cpu. but you need to be carefull when you install it on the motherboard. the last cooler i have instaled on the m4a79t-e is the coolermaster v6gt and i removed that plastic. the plate from coolermaster are from metal but small feet of plastic to protect the motherboard.
