Ok i have a M5A97 EVO mobo.. I just updated the bios on it and I FORGET TO bring it back down to defaults from OC when doing so.. ..When I reset BIOS via battery/jumper..and re-boot computer.. I hit F1 to recover bios..ect..it looks fine in bios.. everything is back to factory default.. looks great... than as soon as windows is booted my temps and core clock speed is nothing what it said in bios...its far too high.. hitting 60c on idle... I than restart my computer once more.. go into bios.. and its not default anymore...everything is in manual mode and looks like a mess... very frustrating.. any thoughts on this greatly appreciated.. ty .. right now I don't even have battery in my MOBO

I think you used a software to control your OC, didn't you? Or did you save any profile on your bios for OCing? Try updating your bios.
