I recently upgraded my ram to : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231311
2 x 4GB Sticks. 8 GB is recognized but 4 GB is being hardware reserved.
Ram is seated in Chan A Slot 0 & Chan B Slot 0, as recommended in the tech specs for the board.
I have the Intel DH55HC Motherboard: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-dh55hc.html
The motherboard is updated to latest firmware. Processor is Core i5 750 64bit
8GB, dual channel, shows in BIOS.The BIOS has the primary video adapter set to EXT PCIe Graphics PEG.
PCI e 2.0 slot has an ATI Radeon HD 5770.
Operating System is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.
Running CPU-Z shows 8 GB with Channel # listed as single.(Not sure what that means).
Things I've tried:
1.looked at Max Memory in msconfig. It is unchecked
2. Switched, Moved Slots. Ran each individually. 0 MB of Hardware Reserved when run like this.
3. Reset CMOS
4.Reloaded Optimal BIOS settings
5. Mem Tested Both Sticks. Passed.
Any suggestions? Any more info needed? My old ram worked just fine( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231223 ).
Thanks
