I was looking at my computer specs and saw the following cpu upgrades that my motherboard supported. I noticed that I could upgrade to an i7-2600. The question I'm asking is if it is possible for me to upgrade to an i7-2600"k" rather than just an i7-2600 without the "k". Does the K cause the cpu to be incompatible or is it just that I can overclock?

considering that motherboard currently holds an i3, it's sporting a h61 chipset... it won't support multiplier overclocking. which is why it suggests a i7-2600, not the "k" version. you'd need a z67 chipset motherboard to overclock a "k" series chip. That said, if you want to stick a "k" series chip into that motherboard it should work. it just won't have an unlocked multiplier.

Would it be possible to upgrade to an i7-3770? or i7-3770k and not overclock it?
