Probably not 120 fps, but that is a bit excessive. Probably 40-60, 80-100 if you got something like a 4770k.

You can't do 120Hz with it, you need a 3930k at 5GHz to do that. But if you're running ultra it won't bottleneck the card.

The 4770 is not twice as fast as the 2600. Twenty percent, at most.

Yea, BF 4 isn't going to run @ 120fps...
A hefty overclock on that thing will probably keep the min above 60 though.

BF4 is running at 40-60 fps for me now with a 660ti.
I'm guessing the CPU will bottleneck it then ?

That CPU will NOT bottleneck a 780. You have to remember the main point of the CPU is to prepare the data for the GPU but it's the GPU that then processes that data. OK so the AI etc is run ion the CPU but it's an i7 OC at 3.4. That is a great gaming combo.

Hi, thanks for the post. Do you by any chance have an idea as to what the fps for bf4 med settings would be for this setup ? I have 12 gigs of ram if that's relevant

At medium you'll be well over 60fps at that resolution. But i'm not entirely sure exactly.

At medium settings you WILL be bottlenecked. If 120 FPS is your goal then it's not achievable with a normal 2600, but you can get 70+ all the time without issue.
