Hi everyone,

this is the first time I am attempting to build a gaming PC for myself. I have been using my current PC for around 6 years and I cant even play Call of Duty: Black Ops ll and Battlefield 3. Im trying to build a PC that can last me for quite some time and will upgrade components if needed. My current budget is ranging from SGD$1.5k~1.7k.
I have been doing some research and this is my current build in mind. Please advice me on better/cheaper components!

Conditions:
Able to play high settings on Battlefield 4 and future games.
No over clocking

Build:
CPU: 3.4Ghz Intel Core i5 4670
Motherboard: MSI Z87M Gaming
CPU Cooler: Not sure.
RAM: 8GB G-Skill RipJawX 1600MHz
SSD: Not sure.
HDD: Not sure.
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 760 OR MSI R9 280x(Which is better? Need detailed explanation please!)
PSU: Seasonic M12 850W
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Case: Asgard 382

1. Are there any difference between corsair's and G-Skill's RAMs?
2. I need recommendations on a good SSD and HDD!
3. Its okay to get a high power PSU right? I heard that PSU works efficiently at 60-85% of their listed power.

Every help will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

A lot of people have said that the R9 280x destroys the 760 and is more comparable with the 770 and such. But I wouldn't worry about it. That card is still excellent and will run a majority of games on ultra. You could also just get another one in the near future when the 760 prices start to go down and sli them for better performance, but for the time being, that card is great.
they are some what close but once the 280x is overclocked it will win no problem due to higher memory bandwith, more shaders and more tmus and 1gb more memory

either way its still a very good card

if you think you will need more power get another one in the future

Most of the motherboards released nowadays are compatible with SLI right?
