Hi All

I have a HP XW4600 workstation with the following specs:
Intel Core2 Quad Processor Q6600 (8M Cache, 2.40 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
4GB DDR2 Memory
160GB SATA Hard Drive
Light Scribe DVD Multi Recorder Optical Drive
128MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 560 PCI-E Graphic Card ( Dual DVI Output )
High Definition Audio
Gigabit Ethernet Network

Can you please recommend a good GPU?

Should I buy anything else to enhance my gaming experience?

I have not bought an OS yet but figure I will buy Windows 8 (I loved XP but I guess those days have gone).

Thanks everyone in advanced for your help.

Your system is kinda dated now. Very much like my own. I wouldn't recommend any more than a 660ti for your system. Anything more, and your CPU will bottleneck. I run a 560ti and play BF3 multi on high settings, average 55-60 fps, with dips into high 40's, at a res of 1680 x 1050. Make sure you get a 2gb card to allow higher ingame settings, and up your res if you have a 1080p monitor. You will also need to overclock your CPU to 3ghz to help negate any potential bottleneck with your new GPU should you get one. Although Overclocking may not be an option on your existing mobo.

edit: system ram is now a factor, and like you I have 4gbs installed. This is now becoming an issue specially with BF4 and COD ghosts, who really need 6-8gb to be stutter free. At 4gbs your right on the limit now. If you can get another 4gb ddr2 that would be great, but it's quite expensive now, and prob not worth it.
