So I just found out that 750D is not compatible with CEB Form factor (P9X79-E WS). So I took a look at Rampage 4 Black Edition, which is E-ATX. However, I'm not so sure about the difference between these two. What are the differences? Which one is better? Just confused if I should change the case in accordance to P9X79-E WS or change the motherboard in accordance to 750D..

The P9X79 series motherboards are aimed towards mainstream and professional users. They have lots of bells and whistles and are built to Asus' standard quality levels.

The Rampage IV series motherboards are part of Asus Republic of Gamers enthusiast lineup. They are aimed towards tweakers and enthusiasts. Bells and whistles are limited but the components are of the highest quality and the boards are built to take a beating. The high end Rampage IV boards (at least the Extreme, which I have) are equipped with voltage test points, extremely accurate temperature sensors which work well below freezing, high quality cooling, and external overclocking features which allow a PC to be tweaked remotely.

which bells and whistles does P9x79 take in advantage over the Rampage IV Extreme BE? Are there other advantages of Rampage 4 Extreme BE besides what you mentioned? I mean.. my purpose for this rig would be more towards to workstation 70% Game 30%, but I also like some of the capability of the Rampage.. I really don't know which one I should go for.

There are some P9X79 motherboards that have built in wifi, Thunderbolt support, more storage options, etc... I don't have the time at the moment to do a full comparison of the P9X79 WS to the Rampage IV Black Edition in particular but they will all have the same core elements.

If you plan on overclocking an LGA2011 CPU to over 4.5Ghz go with the Black Edition; if you don't, go with a mainstream board instead.

As for case support, The SSI CEB form factor is smaller than the E-ATX form factor, and even the larger Rampage boards do not occupy the full space afforded by E-ATX (although they are wider than ATX and are thus afforded an E-ATX designation) so it should fit inside of a Corsair 750D without issue. I have a Rampage IV Extreme in a Corsair 800D with plenty of space left over.

not sure, but looks like P9X79-E Ws should be little better if you going to use 3 or 4 way sli in future...

don't try EATX or CEB yet, but read : all is same as ATX with same holes, only case must be enough wide;
and check ASUS specs I think P9X79-E WS is smaller then Rampage 4 Black Edition;
only check if P9X79-E WS support ATX power; or buy comptible PSU and case; also exists PSU that can be used with ATX and CEB cases;
I think wait better mobo and socket and use my old Antec DF-85
