Recently I bought a GTX 650 ti Boost OC edition but unexpectedly due to some problems, I am facing little lags during the game plays. Today I tried playing NFS: The Run but it showed 28-30 FPS even in low settings. It used to show 45-50 FPS when I had my old GTX 650 ti card.
My specifications are as follows:-
Lenovo H420
i3-2120 3.3 GHz
2x4gb RAM 1333 MHz,PC3-10600
Corsair CX500 500w PSU
Win-7 64bit OS

What are your temps? A program like MSI Afterburner can record them over time. Also, keep an eye on the clocks. I've seen at least two threads lately in which, for some reason, nVidia cards aren't ramping up to their 3D clocks but instead remain at idle / 2D clocks.
(Edit: which is not a problem unique to nVidia; my HD7870 and HD7770 used to do that in GW2 until it got fixed)

You do only have a i3 dual core processor with 4 threads so performance from that will not run well with games. That may be the reason you are experiencing lag in game. It won't be the GPU as that will not have a problem running most games smoothly
