Doubtful, the HD7970 is considerably better. heavily depends on the exact HD7970 model.

That is not an exact model?

I know of 3 different Dual-X versions.

It's not an OC edition it runs standard at 925mhz and has 3GB gddr5 memory and has a bios switch more i can't tell about it :)  so what do you think would the HAWK be around equal at 1200mhz?

Very unlikely, a GTX770 can catch a 7970 but not a GTX760....

The thing is i am betting the GTX760 Hawk is trottling hard at that speed. GPU Boost will not allow it to run to high.

The standard clock frequency of the hawk is 1111mhz with automatic boost to 1176, nl.hardware.info even got it at 1293mhz which is insanely high :D  that's why i like the hawks and lightnings from MSI

Uhm they are not that impressive.

Both my HD7950s can reach 1280MHz (stock 850Mhz).
In Crossfire they run at 1180Mhz.

Overclocking can only get you a few extra FPS, not pass a card completely out of its Leugue.
