I just installed Biostar ta970 and in bios there was an option to create a password. I did this, got distracted and forgot the pword. I reset CMOS, took battery out for 30 minutes and it still won't allow me to reset it. I goes straight to "enter password" eeverytime. How can I fix this?

Solution
That sounds like a huge load of manure. No way to reset a BIOS password? That's a shame; I'd probably consider that a dealbreaker for Biostar.

Would love to help you but no one can know for sure it is your computer.
As @Onus said you will need to seek local assistance from a computer shop or maybe try another website for help.

Authenticating passwords (ones linked to your identity) should NEVER be shared, under any circumstances. For example, a potential employer who asks for your social media password(s) so they can research you should be politely invited to take a hike.
Since you have physical possession, the motherboard manual may be helpful.

A moderator breaking the forum rules ? :heink: :ouch:

Nope, this is common knowledge, and nothing anyone is likely to consider "cracking." I was indeed about to get another mod to take a look here though...
