Only certain sites load

Sometimes when I turn my PC on I only have the ability to load google, facebook and skype. Everything else will just have the slowly revolving circle (chrome). The problem is fixed by either restarting the computer, powerline adaptor or the router but it is a pain in the butt. Is there a certain thing that could be causing this.

Can be caused by bad network connection leaving your place. I'd suggest doing a ping -t to an outside address and see if it drops. This tells you that there is a connectivity issue between your modem and the corresponding website (ie google).

i know that it isnt the router as i got a new one recently and it was the same on the old one
