Ssd with additional memory?

i recently baught a ssd drive and i honestly dont know much about it just the fact that it increases loading time significantly. Quick question, i am already down to 223gb of storage space on my secondary memory storage device. (the non solid state one.) if i'd like to purchase more memory like 1TB+ to store media, games etc. what would i buy? a hard drive? or just some memory storage device?
