Hi guys
i recently purchased the G.Skill DDR3 1866MHz 8gb(2x4gb) ARES RAM.
I also have an ASRock extreme6 Z77 mobo.

I had originally planned on a different mobo but living in Australia screwed over my plans for that. Instead i got the ASRock, which is pretty much perfect for me.

Now to the actual question:
I have looked at the compatible RAM chart for the mobo, as well as the compatible mobo charts for my RAM, and neither has the other listed.
I have read that just because it isnt listed does not mean it wont work, its just that it hasnt been officially tested yet. Now im still new to this stuff and so am not brave enough to make this judgement myself.

Should i just return the RAM and get some that is listed as compatible? (the only problem being is i can only get a 75% refund)
OR
Should the RAM work and i can just leave it as is?

Thanks for your time.

Solution
its probably 1.5v ram it will work just fine. you should try them. your motherboards launch must be prior to the one of your memory thats why they are not listed. it doesnt mean they are not supported
