First of all, here's my main components: Asus m5a97 RE2.0 m/b, Asus Gtx770 gpu, Amd Fx 8350 cpu, 2x4 gb G. Skill Ripjaws ram @2133 mhz, Corsair tx650 psu. I recently built my first pc, and I'm having trouble running some games on medium to high settings at a steady frame rate above 60 fps. To me, it seems like something might be wrong, but that's just me. What would you guys recommend I do to improve performance? Is there anything I should check or re-install? Thanks!

Make sure the video card drivers are up to date - don't use the ones on the CD that came with the graphics card. Also. is the video card installed in the top blue PCIE slot or the bottom black PCIE slot on your motherboard? The top lane is 16x, the second lane is only 4x.
