How do you install SSD?...

Hey guys,
I successfully installed my Windows 8 OS into my UEFI SSD via USB. I have an ASUS CM6870 with a 1TB HDD.

Ultimately, my goal is to run my Windows 8 OS with my SSD and use my 1TB HDD as storage.

I have read two different ways to install the SSD.

Question: What is the best or proper way to install an SSD? In both questions below, do I need to set my SSD to AHCI or RAID?

A: Should I install the SSD and just connect it to the mobo?

OR:

B: Should I disconnect the HDD then connect the the SSD into the same port that the HDD was connected into?

OR

Is there a different or better way?

Thanks

Solution
Just connect it to the motherboard, set your USB with Windows 8 on it as the default boot device in BIOS, Look for the SATA controller set to IDE, and change that to AHCI. Save changes and start up, OS install will start off the USB.

I would recommend unplugging your 1TB HDD to prevent accidentally installing Windows 8 on the wrong drive. Then plug it back in when you're all done.

Should be good to go.
