No signal to vga from gpu

asrock 970 extreme 4
amd3 sempron cpu
2x 7970 redone gpu cards
4gig ram
Dvi to vga convertor
ax1200 corsair psu

hi the monitor is hooked to the gpu threw the convertor and I'm not getting a signal , I even tried the other gpu on the other pci slot and still no signal , all the fans are working .

Can you test a different graphics card than 7970 (an older card)?

I don't have an older one but I tested it with another r9 290x xfx and still no signal . I think it might be a mother board issue

So i tested a total of 3 different cards on all the pci ports and still no signal

Try connecting a case speaker to the motherboard, for beeps.

You'd start the board with only CPU and CPU fan installed. If getting the beeps signaling no RAMs, then you'd know that power supply, motherboard and CPU do work.

Thanks for the advise i fixed it now . I forgot to connect the cpu to the power supply . All sorted now
