Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone else has the Gainward GTX780 GLH and tried overclocking it.
What values were your best results? How many more FPS were you able to get through overclocking it? What's the Max Mhz for chip and ram you can recommend?

Generally, like a processor, every GPU is different, and every GPU will likely yield different OC results. People can recommend certain speeds to shoot for, or what they've got there's to be stable at, but you might not get the same results.

Personally I've used MSI's Afterburner, and bumped up the clock speeds in 15 MHz increments, and ran benches and the like to make sure it's stable. Once your card starts to artifice or produce irregular results, back off by 15 MHz.

Thanks for your reply. I was aware that the perfect values differ between the unique cards / gpu's. I was more curious about how high they could go or where the approximate zone for perfect balance between performance and stability lies. And ultimately, if it's worth it. Have you or has anyone else overclocked this particular card and if so, how many fps did you get from it?

Because, quite frankly, what's even the point if you get 5-7 more FPS through this somewhat risky business. Then i might aswell just leave it and be mad about the purchase I've made a few weeks ago...

I found this interesting video. According to this video, a +100 Mhz OC on chip and vram will yield 3-5 more FPS with a GTX780. I guess that seals it for me. I wont bother playing around with the clocks and voltages anymore. As soon as the heat and noise problems of the AMD R9 290x are solved, i guess this card wont matter anymore because BF4 on Ultra and 1440p doesn't work too well.
