Hey, first post here so sorry if it's in the wrong section.
I recently purchased a 1TB WD My Passport Slim external HD, and I've been getting extremely slow transfer speeds (hovering around 30-35 MB/s) while copying ~70GB of music to the Passport.
My machine is an Alienware M17xR4 Laptop, running Windows 7 64-bit, A09 bios.
From my understanding, this is running close to USB 2.0 speeds. My laptop and the Passport are both USB 3.0 equipped, and neither the read/write speeds from my laptop nor the Passport should bottleneck the transfer speeds to around 30 MB/second.
Any suggestions to fix this issue?
