I've just recently finished my first build and coming from the console world I've been putting a lot of time into getting accustomed to the mouse and keyboard. The keyboard I've actually managed pretty well. Still messing around with key locations for certain games like BF4 and Crysis where it's fast paced and a ton of different buttons. It's the mouse that's the problem. I have enormous Lana hands (Archer reference). A buddy of mine uses the wireless logitech mouse with a gazillion buttons on it. I tried it and actually enjoyed the functionality of the button layout but the mouse was so small, reaching the buttons was uncomfortable and unnatural. I tried the death adder first but while the size was a little better, the button placement still never felt like a good fit, and it felt almost "too ergonomical". So I then was looking at the Ouroboros and the Rat series from madcatz when I stumbled across the Roccat Kone XTD. This presented a nice balance between functionality, ergonomics, and overall size (as several of the comments said it was larger than the deathadder). While the size is ok I still feel like pressing the side buttons requires me to put my hand in different position and sorta throws everything off.
