I have recently bought an HP 1510 Deskjet PSC (All in one) printer.

(1) If I print 5 to 10 pages at once in a day and then leave the printer unused for a long time (say, 2 to 3 months) with the cartridges inserted, will the printer or cartridge get damaged?

(2) What should I do with the cartridge then, if I leave my printer unused for my previous said time duration?

Solution
The printer itself won't be damaged, but it is very likely that the cartridges will dry out.
I would remove the cartridges during the period of inactivity, and perhaps reseal them with plastic or foil (nothing that sheds lint!) until you are ready to use them again. Store them in a cool, dark place.
