Hi, I'm new to PC's & PC Gaming, so thanks for any help.
I have an i5-4670, on a H87M-E motherboard, 8GB RAM. It has an AMD Radeon 6670 for a graphics card, & runs on a Samsung LED LCD TV @ 1920X1080. It also has a 550W PSU.
It was fine playing older D&D Games, but The Witcher 2 was so slow & jumpy I've decided on a new Graphics Card.
I don't play FPS, mainly RPG's & I'd like to try more MMORPG's, so I don't need the best there is (& probably couldn't afford it, lol). I'm thinking low-mid range will be fine.
I was thinking a R7 260X, but a friend suggested the R270X, but didn't know if my PC was powerful enough to run it without bottle-necking & not getting the most out of it.
Also if I got the 270X would I need extra cooling ? The case is fairly large, but only has 1 fan at the back (& 1 on G.Card, & 1 on Processor).
Comparing price doesn't interest me, because the PC is only 3mths old & I'll take it to the shop that built it & get a good deal.
Thanks heaps for any & all help.
Steve

Solution
Got a strong CPU so I'd go the 760, would look at the Asus CU model, great card, also grab a fan to pull air in through the front of the case

Thanks for the advice. Especially about the fan at the front of the PC case.
I ended up getting the Gigabyte brand R9 27XOC-2GD, because the shop had a good deal.
It has three (3) fans on it !!!
Because I live in the desert, I am also getting a second (2nd) fan for the front of the PC case. So thanks for mentioning that as well.
Cheers for your help.

Yep, Australian desert. Good guess.
Got my new video/ graphics (?) card & new fan for the front of the case :bounce:
Now if we could just figure out how to stop so much dust settling on the CPU. :pfff:
You have any ideas ? :??:

Legenda in Aeternum
I blow my rigs out w/ compressed air about once every couple weeks or so, can also take some of the material like from a furnace filter (very thin) and cut to size to fit the fan openings, that can help, it's prob about the same there as here, almost impossible to keep it out :pfff:

Hi, I did the can of compressed air trick & it worked really well. Cheers.
I think the whole front inside of my PC case has some sort of black foam stuff, so I hope it goes all the way down & is filtering the new front intake fan, but I couldn't really see into the front area.
I was wondering if you know if I can (or should/ shouldn't) Run the ASUS AI Suite III ? Especially the 4 Way Optimization.
Also the G.Card I got (Gigabyte R9 27XOC) has OC Guru on the disc that came with it. Can I use it (should/ shouldn't) ?
Can they work together ? Will they work at all ? My CPU is i5 4670, without the K at the end. Doesn't the K at the end mean overclocking is ok ? And can I overclock without the K ?
I'll post a new thread later in the CPU section I think.
Thanks for the help/ advice.
