I have a birthday coming up soon and i wanted to upgrade some parts in my computer im going to leave what is in my current build. Ijust need some help from you guys.

i was think of upgrading that but i wasn't sure if everything i had was compatible with what i wanted to upgrade

Upgrading your GPU would be a great move. If you do so, you'll probably need to change your PSU. Think about taking one from a more reliable brand, with a good certification and modular cabling.

Also, an SSD would be a great addition to this build. I recommend the Samsung 840 EVO.

on your sdd you want to put your OS and if you have any programs you use throw them on there as well. and if your able to fit it. put what ever game you play the most on there. but really you will be fine with your current hard drive for gaming.

what programs should i use to tell what wattage im using and the temperature of my parts and what not and not a virus

450W is very low for modern computers. The most recent GPUs consume much more power and you will need to change your PSU if you upgrade your actual video card.

If you do so, make sure to choose a widely trusted brand in power supplies such as XFX or Seasonic.

500 watt minimum power supply is recommended for the gpus recommended above. but if you needed to run them on 450 for a short period of time until you get a higher psu you can.

is there a program that i should use to monitor that kind of stuff like the temperature of my componets and and the wattage at which my computer isusing at the current moment
