Go into control panel and Microsoft software and Uninstall all framework files then go to MS update and download and install Framework.

But if I Uninstall all Framework files, won't Iose all previous versions? And from all the forums I have read, I need those. Or are you saying I should uninstall ALL versions and reinstall them?

and if it isn't on your machine and you go to windows update it should see that and bring up those files for installation.

Yes, I can bring the files up for installation. The problem is they FAIL to install. I get error messages and I have tried to install them 4 times. They download with no problem, they just will not install.

No...not even in Safe Mode :-(
I have over 10 gigs available. That should be more than enough room.

Yes, uninstall all versions and run the Windows Update and dl and install them all together. That is how I fixed the issue on my computer.
