Help me decide(Dell u2713hm)

Solution
I would say go for it, and cross your fingers. If the monitor comes to you damaged in any way, send it back ASAP and don't stress yourself over getting the same one. Take your money and get a better unit if that DELL one is bad.

I like that monitor. I really do. And if you want that awesome screen quality, go for it. But this is all I have to say...be ready for dead pixels, screen issues, etc. I ordered the 30 inch Ultrasharp...the one that's over 1,500 bucks...and it came to me with NOTHING but dead pixels on the screen. I sent it back (while having to pay for return shipping) and it came back broken AGAIN. The monitor wouldn't even turn on. I returned everything, got my money back, and went with dual 27 inch monitors. Just keep your eyes open and your heart/soul ready for quality control disappointment.

From the stories I've heard with people spending more and more money on upgrades, and the horror stories of bad customer service, I never advise anything DELL. Their products work great for awhile, and then crash with a fiery death. Last I remember DELL had a 26% out of the box failure ratio. That's 26% chance that your DELL product will be dead on arrival right out of the box, and that's what I experienced with my monitor.

DELL has recently been dropping their prices on their Ultrasharp monitors for about two years now. I guess they weren't selling enough and wanted to keep up with competition. Competition like Mac's Cinema Display or whatever their monitor is called.

i cant even find any korean monitor at this price point..

i read it somewhere their failure rate is 13.7%, still rather high to begin with, or maybe im wrong on this one

i think i will wait after CES finish then i mkae my decision,
i hope 760 is cheaper by that time..
