Installed new hardrives but they won't appear

So I installed a 1TB Western Digital Black Edition hardrive to my computer with about 18 gb left. The hardrive appears on the boot up screen but not in the Computer section. It does infact appear in the Device Manager it's just I can't put anything on it. Plus when I installed my boot speed and other things were a bit slow. Any help would be great!

the drive has to be formated inside of windows use windows disk management.

Also it might even be formatted already, but you need to at least assign a drive letter to it from the windows disk management as listed above.
