Motherboard fried - Revive AMD CPU

I think my motherboard is fried because the Green LED light does not light up and my PSU was replaced but didn't chnage anything so

i wanted to know whether if the i can remove the amd FX-6100 3.5GHz heatsink without damaging it and also if the cpu may have been damaged from motherboard being fried

There is no way to know for sure, but i would bet your CPU is fine. The motherboard rarely does any damage to the cpu when it fails. What motherboard do you have now, Is it a prebuilt system or did you build it? Are you going to try and replace the motherboard
