AMD FX 8350 Temps

Hello everyone.
I am having some problems with my FX 8350's temps.

This is my configuration:
AMD FX 8350 4 Ghz
Asus GTX 760 2GB
8GB RAM 1600 Mhz Kingston
Asrock 970 pro3 r2.0
Windows 7 pro 64 bit.

Here is the issue:
I replaced the AMD stock cooler ( Which was more noisy than a landing airplane) with the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO (that runs pretty silent), after some testing and some research, I found out that the Turbo Core made the temps go too high till 57-58 ° C. I know the maximum the safe temps for 8350 should be around 60-61°. So I was really close!
So I disabled the Turbo Core from the bios and now the processor runs at speed stock maximum 4Ghz, temps are 33-35 in idle and 48-50 while gaming, which seems to be good.

Now I ask you, is there anything I can change from control panel which will allow me to keep the Turbo Core with similiar temps? Or it's not worth it to get additional +200mhz?
Also if you have any advice to low the temps more, I'll be grateful, the lower temps the better!
I use the PC mostly for Gaming.

Max temps are 80c, yours are fine.

WOW 80c?! Are you sure!? I was told not to cross 61-62c. Also saw some topics on this site which confirms that :|

80c is the absolute max, but that's under full load. Anybody who says 60c is the max is way wrong. Personally I don't like mine getting over 75c, but 60c is just ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure 62c is the official safe max temp (on the core) and 70c on the socket. You can afford to go a little higher but I agree with ewok that I don't like to exceed 75c.

What I think? That guy is overly cautious and is losing a lot of performance from that.

Turbo Core is there to account for the otherwise abysmal single core performance. Just let'er buck. If you are not overclocking, or otherwise messing with the clocks manually the chip should throttle itself to stay inside its thermal envelope. I have mine at stock with a Hyper 212. I worried at first but it knocks of 60-61 deg in skyrim sometimes and hasn't burnt down the house yet.

AMD didn't release them. 80c is the max. 75c is the max safe. 60c means you need to overclock more.

Tjunction (aka socket temp) = MAX 70°C

Obviously the processor can cope with lots more, but these are the safe and official temps before throttling/shutdown what have you.

The maximum temperature for the FX-8350 CPU is 61.1C at Tcase. This is different from Tjunction (which the BIOS and programs like HWMonitor will report), and can easily be referenced through AMD OverDrive, or closely referenced through programs like CoreTemp/RealTemp. HWMonitor and BIOS software will report the Tjunction temperature which can be as much as 10C different from the Tcase temperature.

Tjunction shouldn't be ignored specifically, as a Tjunction temperature that is in the 70s is definitely cause for concern, even if the CPU is only in the 40s, as that could indicate a hardware fault in the socket that could start damaging hardware. The 61.1C limit is for Tcase, but Tjunction is good to ensure that there isn't any damage to the NB controller, socket, or memory controller. It's just less important than Tcase for actual CPU temperatures, but is a good warning sign for issues with the board or northbridge.

Coretemp says Tjunction is 90C for my 8320, not that I would go that high. For what it's worth I had it up to 65C on the stock cooler at 4Ghz last night and it didn't throttle.

Okay, I got Coretemp and it says max temp is 70°c.
So basically, for HW Monitor Maximum is 61 °c, which should be equal to 70°c in Coretemp. Am I right?

Coretemp should be the same as package temp in hwmonitor. I wonder why mine says 90C, what revision is yours? Mine is OR-C0.

Hardware Monitor reports me 32°c in idle.
CoreTemp reports me about 12° in idle.

So the limit of 61°C is for coretemp or for HW Monitor?

Anyway I don't know what revision, bought it a month ago tough

is that HWmonitor temp for CPU listed under temperatures or Package under AMD FX8320?

edit: my CPU temp is 31C and Package is 15C

Try hwinfo - It's great for temp checking just to make sure everything is running a-ok
Also keep in mind that core temp will not at all be accurate on FX processors when the cores are actually below 40c. If/when you reach 40c, it'll be spot on accurate.

Officially 61.1C on the cores and 70C on the socket.
Technically I'd agree with ewok and say 75C, though that's on the socket for me. I don't like hitting 70C on the core. It will differ depending on the people that you ask FYI.

Most FX chips will throttle around 70.
