bought a extended pwm splitter lead for the case fans but 1 head only has 3 pins is it faulty

ordered a splitter lead so I can run 2 pwm fans off 1 power slot. one of the head has 3 pins where the other one has 4. is it faulty and how would I connect it? thanks in advance

Typically the motherboard can only monitor 1 fan per header. That's probably the reason that you only have 1 PWM connector on your splitter.
