So I am thinking about upgrading my CPU from an Athlon II X4 620(2.6Ghz) but I am unsure about compatibility issues with my motherboard. Right now my CPU is a bottleneck and currently playing games that are heavily dependent on CPU performance. The motherboard socket is an AM2 but i heard that some motherboards support AM2+ even though the socket is an AM2. What CPU is better than my current one but is supported by my motherboard?
