Hey guys, recently I have been noticing random blocks of pinkish blocks flash across my screen during some games. Today I was experiencing a ton of lines vertically appearing on my screen during the lock screen, waiting for windows to update. Is there any way someone can help me figure out a solution to fix this? Here is what I have done in the past week and what my specs are

My 3570k is oced to 4.2 ghz which has been stable since I oced it.

My gpu is not oced right now.

I recently replaced my cpu fan and got a little dust on top of my gpu, and did the best to clean it without manhandling it. (note the random lines and blocks happend before this)

Installed an ssd ( note the problems occurred before this as well)

TIA

It is a defective graphics card.

Contact the card manufacturer about returning it via RMA under your Warranty; it's a good idea to contact their TECH SUPPORT first so they can verify the diagnosis. Some warranties are only one year, others are THREE years.

Alright, either way my warranty for gpu still holds even if it is one year. Also how can you determine its the gpu? Would it be posible that it's the cpu?

It sounds like your GPU is either 1) overheating, or 2) overclocked too far, or 3) defective.

I would start with the basics. Make sure the GPU fan is spinning correctly, check temps, if it's hot turn the fan speed up if you can. If you overclocked it, back off. If you adjusted your BCLK in BIOS when Overclocking your CPU, DON"T (this could be affecting your GPU among other components).

my gpu fans are pinning and working, I am not overclocking at the moment with my gpu either. I also cant recall changing the bclk setting at all. I guess this leaves me with a defective gpu?

My case ventilation is very good and so is cable management. My card temp never go above 50c on high end games. My cpu never go above 45c either. I'm running a 7870 PC edition also.

Yep the drivers are all updated. The weird thing is during gpu stress test nothing bad happens it's just when I'm playing games like league of legends or the windows update screen.
