I will be doing a fresh windows 8.1 on my new SSD I just got in and want to make sure I have the newest and correct drivers to install. I am a little confused

System Specs:
Windows 8.1
GA-990-FXA-UD3 (rev 4)
http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4672&dl=1#ov
AMD FX8320
AMD R9 270x
and using an SSD

So what drivers do I need to install from the Gigabyte website?
and what drivers do I install from the AMD website.

So I am a litttle confused do I download the chipset drivers from from the Gigabyte website or the AMD website? I would figure the Gigabyte website is up to date but it says version 8.982. and different on the AMD website. Also do I download the SATA RAID or AHCI drivers if I am only running the system on an SSD and a 2TB HDD for storage?

Could someone link me all of the drivers I need to install and from where. I tried to find them on the AMD website but it isn't working for me and keeps taking me to notebook drivers.

I am feeling pretty noobish but thanks for the help!

(Something may be missing but it's a good guide. You should have no problems.)

Prior to installing Windows:

Read your motherboard manual carefully (RAM placement especially)

1) Update the BIOS if possible via the USB method

2) run MEMTEST for one full pass (about 30min for 8GB) www.memtest.org

3) Go into the BIOS, click "AMP" (or whatever the PROFILE method is) and SAVE that for CPU/RAM

4) make sure that SATA in the motherboard is set to AHCI prior to installation

5) Make sure the BIOS is not set to Legacy mode to enable UEFI security before installation

POST WINDOWS Install:

*Get an ANTI-VIRUS solution first or at least get Microsoft Security Essentials for now.

1) Install the MAIN CHIPSET DRIVER from the Gigabyte motherboard site

2) Install other drivers from the same motherboard site such as USB, Realtek audio etc as needed (you can read the details)

3) Install the AMD drivers from AMD's site.

4) update the SSD firmware

5) apply OVERPROVISIONING on the SSD (the first two are easy on Samsung's Magician software.)

6) Install OTHER software at motherboard site if needed such as FAN CONTROL (CPU/case fans attached to motherboard)

7) Activate Windows (once happy)

8) Make a BACKUP IMAGE using Acronis True Image or similar (free version at WD or Seagate)

Other:
- consider START8 from Stardock ($5) to bypass the W8 interface

Thanks so I install the gigabyte AMD chip set drivers first then I can install the AMD website ones after with no problem. I think I can handle that. On the Gigabyte website there are 3 different RAID drivers.

Marvell 9172 AHCI/RAID driver
AMD SATA RAID Driver (Preinstall driver, press F6 during Windows* setup to read from floppy)
AMD SATA AHCI Driver (Preinstall driver, press F6 during Windows* setup to read from floppy)
^^ last two I have to preinstall?

Do I need to install all of these?
There are also RAID drivers on the AMD website.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows+7+-+32
Do I need to install this also?
