CPU upgrade from dual core to core i3 / i5

is there any list of motherboards with dual core sandy bridge processors and can be upgraded to core i3 or core i5 processors?

Yes. Type Socket 1155 (sandy/ivy bridge) or 1150 (hazwell) into the search bar. Non i3 duals would be called Celeron or Pentium. As long as they fit into the socket, the motherboard should support them. Check the motherboards documentation to be certain.
