Hello, I am attempting to build my first custom computer and have picked out a bunch of parts that I can afford and think would work well together. I've done my best to ensure that they are compatible with each other, but if anyone could take a look and offer suggestions I would really appreciate it.

I'm not aiming for a "gaming PC" but rather something decent that could play most games if I wanted to.

Thanks.

the video card is the weak point, get at least something like a radeon 7790 or gtx 650 ti or r9 270

also that motherboard might not support vishera cpu-s unless you upgrade it to the latest bios (which unless you have another cpu that works you can't)

Made some changes for you:

Better CPU cooler
2x4GB RAM kit so you can run it in dual-channel which is better
Bigger HDD
Much faster GPU
That XFX is very well reviewed and made by SeaSonic (top quality).

This keeps you at a little under the price of your build.

Something like this would be a good upgrade though and should eliminate any compatibility issues with the Vishera CPUs: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99xevor20

Thanks for the input - I'll definitely go with the ASUS motherboard.
