Hello! I have an AMD FX-8320 oc'd to 4.0ghz at the moment with a Corsair H60 Cooler.. I've recently just treated myself to an ASUS Crosshair formula V Mobo and really happy with it.. theres just 1 strange little thing im not happy with and I am so unsure of what it could be..

So, my old mobo was a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 and i reached a solid stable overclock at 4.5Ghz, unfortunately i cant even keep my 8320 at 4.0Ghz on my new mobo, because when i stress test with Prime 95 and have HWmonitor and speedfan opened my temps go from 34C to 62C in a matter of SECONDS .. I am so confused, I have the pump fan header in the CPU Fan header on the motherboard and have tried many different headers around the board and no luck there.. It has got to the point where it does turn off my PC around 80c+ but thats only happened once because i don't like the temps going that high.. So what could it be? :( Processor? cooler? board? please help me I bought this board specifically to get a higher overclock and future crossfire my cards..

Thanks guys

I honestly didn't think I needed to, I've taken the cooler off before on my old motherboard and had no problems with it :S Re applying the paste was one of the first things i was going to try to solve this issue, Thanks bro

It's on as tight as i can tighten it without it snapping the brackets, the thermal paste is a little dry maybe thats the issue
