Computer not booting.. Only black screen

Os: Windows xp sp3
Ram:2gb
Psu:500W

I am having problems with my pc. When i use my onboard graphic card(Gma 3100) no problem. But when i insert the graphic card( either vga cable on onboard gpu or the dedicated) when i turn it on.. cpu fan move slowly no beep.. and a black screen.. When i remove the gpu it become normal again. The graphic card was tested in my cousin desktop. Please help me.
And please give me direct answers not give me long paragraph.. I am so stressed.

What GPU are you using?

Several things can be going on here:

1) Make sure that your GPU is plugged into the PCIe slot, and that the power cable is plugged into the card

2) Make sure that you are plugging your video cable (VGA/DVI/HDMI) is plugged into the dedicated card as your onboard video will be disabled


Get back to me on your results and then we can try something else
