Ubisoft games keep minimizing?

So the other day I was playing Far Cry 3 with ease and then after closing I wanted to play some Ghost Recon Future Soldier. I opened it but it kept minimizing. I even tried opening it a few times and it still didn't work. I also tried AC4 and that did the same as well. I did (which I think may be the problem) update Nvidia experience drivers to a newer "game ready" driver. So yeah I really don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

This happens to me all the time, and I just recently built a new system with an OS install from scratch. I can't blame any software utilities.

I've read that the Xbox controller can actually cause the problem, and that disabling the xboxstat.exe process can resolve it. This advice hasn't worked for me however, but I will try playing games without it connected to see if the problem disappears.

They are minimizing themselves to the taskbar. They will only stay open for a few seconds and then minimize again.
