I am looking for a fan to replace the 140mm fan on my Corsair H90.

It has been hard to find a fan with greater CFM (94 CFM standard) and static pressure (1.64mm H20 stand.) than the stock fan.

The reason I am in the market is because the H90 really didn't reduce the temperatures I was getting with AMD's stock cooler.

I haven't tried the fan as an exhaust, but I can't imagine it getting much better as Tom's has done reviews on the H90 and the exhaust data are worse than the intake.

I appreciate your help. If possible, I'd like a fan with an 18mm thickness so that I could set up another fan on the motherboard-side of the radiator.

Okay. Here we have a problem.

You say that it's been hard to find a 94 CFM fan, right? That's because Corsair, like many others, have lied about their fans. There's no way they push that much air through, and that static pressure is pretty low.

One 25mm fan will give you better static pressure than a 18mm fan, and a good one will most likely outperform two 18mm fans.

There's less to choose from when it comes to 140mm fans over 120s, and the only ones I could recommend are the Corsair SP120s, Noctua NF-A14s, or Noiseblocker Blacksilents, all of which will set you back between £15-£20/$20-$30.

The fact that your H90 is getting similar temps to stock is strange, and that's what you should be more worried about. Even with the sub-par stock fan, it should still be way better than a stock cooler. Are you measuring temps under load? Don't buy a new fan until it is fixed.

Thanks for getting back to me. I already bought fans to replace those in the case and on the radiator.

I don't know what the problem with the H90 would be. There is solid contact with the processor though I don't know how much contact there has to be between the fan and radiator. This is in a Corsair 500R case. It's been a disappointing cooling experience so far.

I would get in touch with corsair for an RMA, as it sounds like you may have a pump issue.
