why does my ps3 randomly kick me offline and i have to reset it to get back on

My playstation3 frequently looses connection to the internet and I have to turn it off and on to regain it

When this happens, Have you run the connection test? if you are using wifi, you're most likely getting a bad signal. Try a wired connection and see if the problem persists.
