I have 24GB of Memory ( 24 GB [6 GB X4 DDR3-1333 Triple Memory Module Corsair XMS3 Dominator w/DHX technology) on the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX Intel Motherboard, however the board is only reporting 8GB (2GB for each)

Solution
Yep, thats a 6Gb kit that contains 3x2Gb sticks not 3x6Gb sticks. Im fairly certain 6Gb sticks don't even exist. So if you have 4 of those installed you have 8Gb of ram installed.

Yes thanks for your answer, I tried that, when tried testing the board with one 6GB it only reported 2GB.

That's not a model number(this is an example of a corsair memory model number CMX2GX3M1A1333C9) , but what it looks like what is happening is you are confused with what you have. You can't be running 6x4Gb since the motherboard only has 4 slots you could only have 4 of the 6 sticks installed, and you can't be running 4x6Gb since 6gb modules don't exist.

36GB of this same memory worked on my other board (MSI Eclipse SLI Intel X58 Chipset CrossFire and SLI Supported w/7.1 Sound, Triple-Channel DDR3) I left 12GB on the old board and put this 24GB on this new board that I got from Newegg.

That X58 board uses triple channel memory and has 6 ram slots. The Z77 uses dual channel and has 4 slots, and both memory configurations you have posted don't make sense. Simply posting the model number located on the memory sticks would be most helpful.

2 RAM module of 6GB was left on the old board that I'm no longer using. 4 module of 6GB I have on the new board. I beleave that I now understand, this old 2009 6GB RAM from iBuypower will not work as it should on the new board. I need 4GB modules or 8GB modules 4 X 8GB for 24GB. Thanks for all of the help everone. v/r Gmack

The 36GB (6 x 6GB) RAM that I had on my MSI is below. I now have 24GB of it on my ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX Intel Motherboard with a Intel Core i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor. The MB is only reporting 2GB for each single RAM module of 6GB.
