Hi, I currently have a p6510y system and I am having a bit of trouble upgrading the CPU. I'm looking to get an AMD Phenom II X4 940 or better. When I tried to order one online I realized the one I got was an am2+ and have heard that this is not compatible with the am3 motherboard on my system. I found an AMD Phenom II X4 960T Processor, Black Edition, 3.0/3.4 Turbo GHz Socket AM3 but the seller said its not for HP/COMPAQ computers and I don't want to end up purchasing one that wont work again. Any help at all would be much appreciated.
