Hey,

I was testing my Msi P6N SLI platinum with a 4870 and a 5450. I can see them in the Device Manager and they are both enabled.

The problem is that, I don't know whih drivers to install... I tried the 4870's drivers and in the catalyst menu the 4870 was shown as "primary" and the 5450 as "disabled".

Any ideas on how can I enable both? I don't want them in Crossfire mode, just to enable both cards

Thank you!

Solution
it should work just fine if they run the same drivers. What you're trying to do to test it is much more difficult that your end goal.

If i remember correctly, the current AMD drivers cut off support at the HD 5000 series, so one set of drivers won't support both...you can try installing both sets of drivers, but that can cause issues. Out of curiosity, why do you want both cards? the 5450 isn't good for much besides adding a second monitor.

My objective is mining. Im going to buy 2 x R9 280x and put them on this mobo. I wanted to make sure that the mobo will handle two cards (NOT in Crossfire) so i tested what i had !

Things get a bit messy when i installed both drivers...
