Can anyone recommend a set of upgrades to handle this? The current pc is a prebuilt HP computer that honestly is extremely laggy when running photoshop. It has a quaddro 4000 in it currently which is supposed to be a graphics workhorse but it just doesn't seem to do the job. It has 8gb of RAM and an intel xeon processor.

Edit: I am thinking of going with a gtx 760 and an upgrade to 2x8gb of corsair vengeance 1600MHz RAM. Would this be enough of an upgrade to noticeably increase performance?

Edit 2: I'm trying to keep these upgrades to a maximum of $600. Preferably under $450 if I can help it.

A bit over $600, but if this is a work PC, then your boss/company *should* understand that a 78- will help you get your job done faster, and time is money. If not, look at this:

It has an intel xeon CPU 2.66GHz quad core
4x2gb RAM (not sure of brand or clock speed)
2x500gb HDD 7200RPM in raid setup
nvidia quadro 4000 2gb DDR5
Mobo is still a mystery. I think it is an intel x58 but probably an older model? I'm having trouble finding this board online.
PSU is a generic 475W 80plus bronze certified

Unfortunately I can't download speccy because of proxies on the work server.

Still a great card, and with better RAM. I've got a set of 8GB Sniper Sieres and they are great.

Anyway, I hope this helps!
