Hi to all of you hope you have had a good day:) This is my first serious build BTW so im pretty new to all of it apart from pretty reasonable results with parts & reading up :/
my question is i would like to install vengeance pro 1866mhz into my sabertooth Z87 board brand new board im installing an i5 4670k but i read somewhere that the board wil only allow me to use 1600 Mhz mem on a stock cpu. I would appreciate any info as i dont want to mess up on the build .
many thx
Gerry.

You're OK with any of available 1600MHz RAM. You'd be surprised to know that RAM frequency does not matter much in gaming.

In this video Linus Sebastian (most reputed techie on youtube) benchmarks and explains how even 2400 MHz RAM cannot show a noticeable difference in gaming FPS.
You're all right with 1600MHz RAM. No,need to buy a expensive one.
