I recently purchased a Samsung 840 EVO and installed Windows 7 on it. The first couple days were smooth sailing and I couldn't be happier. I then began to encounter a problem where after the Windows logo, it would go to a grayish black screen for about 40 seconds. I've searched everywhere, and came back with nothing. I've gotten rid of the loading screen GUI, cut down my start up programs from 15 to just 4 and still no success. I have a Gigabyte GA 880 GMA UD2H, a Asus GTX 770, 8gb of Corsair Vengeance, AMD phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, Seagate Barracuda and the 120gb Samsung 840 EVO.
