Sometimes with USB keyboards when they're plugged in for the 1st time Windows is trying to load the drivers. Sometimes it finds it and sometimes it won't. Sometimes another reboot will fix it and sometimes I just plug in my old PS/2 keyboard in get into windows and then plug in my USB keyboard and it's working. Even if your keyboard has software to install for some features the basic's of a keyboard would still work so I don't think it's a compatible problem.

You just need to download the drivers. In device manager, right click and hit update device drivers, or whatever it says.

If that doesn't work, go to the makers website and download them there.
